Sofar (Songs From a Room) Sounds was formed in 2009 in a North London flat as the perfect answer to enjoying intimate live music without the restless audience and disturbing ringing of phones. Sofar’s living room concerts filter out the noise so music lovers can get exactly what they want: live music in good company in the homely atmosphere of a living room.
An underground group of music loving volunteers, Sofar Sounds has successfully brought local and touring musicians to living rooms to the delight of the appreciative ears of a select guests in 45 cities worldwide, including Istanbul. Sofar Sounds Istanbul has already put on shows with names like Ali Somay, Yüzyüzeyken Konuşuruz, and The Away Days. Without advertising, Sofar is trusted to bring the best of local and touring bands to people who are serious about good music.
