Those who are looking for a new hobby or to rediscover a hidden interest are invited to Galata for a tour around our favorite jewelry studio in town. Maden Contemporary Jewellery Studio was created by two friends and colleagues, Selen Özus and Burcu Büyükünal. These two artists and crafts-women graduated from arts and design universities in Istanbul and then moved to Italy and the United States for further education in their passion for jewels.
Besides creating their own pieces and attending many solo and group exhibitions, they’ve opened Maden to teach how to work with jewelry in every possible technique. What Selen and Burcu would like to share most is to teach their students the way of solving problems and helping them create their own paths. Every season there is at least one workshop given by foreign teachers in a specific matter, so you better follow Maden’s Facebook page for updated information.
