Feriköy organic market

Girl buying fresh produce at Ferikoy organic market

We know, we know… you don’t like to wake up early on Saturdays. However, if you’ve been complaining about the city’s lack of organic produce, then the Feriköy Organic Market is very much worth it (and you can take a nap later).

Organized by the Buğday Association for the support of Ecological Living, the market is set up every Saturday from 7am to 5pm and is a colorful myriad of organic produce, beauty products, household goods, dairy products, grains, and much more. Getting there early really pays off because the best produce is available for those who arrive first.

If you’re one of those people who can’t function without breakfast, head to the stands that sell freshly baked goods or gözleme first, and sit down for some early morning grub accompanied by tea. Also make sure to bring your own bags, because sellers don’t provide them in an ecologically-friendly fashion.
