If a picture is worth a thousand words, then 80 pictures can tell us a pretty long story. The current exhibition at Istanbul Modern Photography Gallery, named “People Attract People,” proves that.
While examining eighty photographs one after another, we felt like we were traveling through the history of Turkey, from the early days of the Republic until today. The exhibition showcases eighty pictures of Turkey shot by eighty photographers over a period of eighty years, with the people of Turkey as its protagonists.
Each photograph tells us a different story and represents the photographer’s relationship with people, whether its subject is a renowned artist or an “ordinary person.”
This exhibition is definitely a must-see this fall. Don’t miss it!
Visiting hours: Tuesday-Sunday 10:00-18:00, Thursday 10:00-20:00. Closed on Mondays, free admission on Thursdays for residents of Turkey.
You can visit the exhibition until December 11, 2016
