Anybody
who lives in Turkey or who has spent a considerable amount of time here
knows that drinking tea and the rituals that follow it are ingrained in
Turkish culture. Yet many of us don’t realize what a vast world tea has
come from until we meet someone like Liliana Lopez, an expat who has
not only made Istanbul her home but has also opened up an online
lifestyle tea shop called Melez Tea.
Her special collection features 10 different blends, of which 5
are already sold online (the rest will be available soon). The beauty of
her loose leaf teas stems from the high-quality products that she uses
and the expertise with which she blends them (she has been learning
about tea from the masters in London, New York, and Barcelona for more
than 2 years).
