We dare say that there is not one woman who is not obsessed with shoes. And rightly so! Buying a pair of shoes is a joy in its own right, but seeing an exhibition of shoes worn in late Ottoman times and early Republican period is another experience all on its own. The ‘Shoes’ exhibition at Sadberk Hanım Museum has already attracted many designers for inspiration, and it is worth the trip to Sarıyer for all who appreciate aesthetics, fashion and a bit of history. The exhibition, which is on until the May 31st, showcases 127 shoes that range from Western-style boots to high-heeled clogs made with pearl, ivory and silver. So grab a friend and head to Sadberk Hanım Museum to see what thefashionistas wore in the 19th and 20th centuries around here!
